Georgia Tech’s Spring 2020 Commencement Ceremony is postponed until… well, we don’t know just yet. Once we receive updated guidance on large gatherings, we will choose a date for our traditional, in-person ceremony — complete with all the pomp and circumstance (and gold and white balloons) graduating Yellow Jackets have come to expect! So, stay tuned for that announcement.
In the meantime, our graduates at every level — bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral — have earned their degrees from one of the most prestigious science- and technology-focused universities in the world, during one of the most challenging times in recent history, and that definitely deserves a celebration! So, please join Georgia Tech — virtually — starting at noon on Friday, May 1, as we celebrate the Class of 2020!
Here’s some of what you can look forward to on that big day, along with a few tools and tips to help you and your loved ones (whether near-and-dear or dear-and-far) celebrate in virtual style.
(Note: Find your “graduation swag” here. Also, if you miss any of our online graduation celebration content as it plays out on May 1, it will still be available for viewing later at your convenience.)

Best of Campus
Since graduates and their families can’t come to campus, we’re bringing campus to you! We have put together a campus background package featuring some of the most popular locations for graduation photos — from McCamish Pavilion, to the Kessler Campanile, to Tech Tower, and more. Just use your favorite photo editing app and click! There you are.
This tile includes the name and major of each of our spring graduates and can be shared with family and friends.
Traditions Photo Templates
We’ve created templates with Buzz and the Ramblin’ Wreck — all you have to do is insert yourself using your favorite photo editing app to virtually recreate a campus tradition.
We’ve created some special digital “frames” for Class of 2020 students, and proud parents and families.
Let your Yellow Jacket flag fly! We have signs and banners you can print out to include in your graduation photos.
Moments to Remember

Just like at Commencement, we’ll be talking to some 2020 graduates about their time at Tech and their plans for the future.
Social Media Feed Frenzy
Use #GT20 to interact and celebrate with fellow graduates. We'd also love to hear from alumni, parents, friends, and current students.
We'll be pulling images and messages from Instagram and Twitter onto the celebration webpage and sharing in the excitement together in real time.
We'll be streaming live on Facebook with messages from President Cabrera and College deans, along with introductions to some of Georgia Tech’s Class of 2020 graduates.
Hear from College deans and Institute leaders, who wouldn’t dream of missing this opportunity to tell you how proud they are of your achievements.
Alumni and Friends Congratulations
