Future of Psychology at Georgia Tech

The School of Psychology has launched the Future of Psychology initiative to explore how our programs, research, and identity can best reflect the School’s strengths and vision for the years ahead. This effort is guided by a Task Force of faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

About the Initiative

The Future of Psychology Task Force was convened to gather input on the School of Psychology’s identity; strengths, future direction and integration with the broader community. This group serves in an advisory capacity, not a decision-making one. It was convened after the School of Psychology voted on a new name, the process was paused, and additional input was requested. Our goals are to:

  • Understand how the School of Psychology is perceived within Georgia Tech and beyond.
  • Highlight our contributions to science, education, and society.
  • Explore how the School can position itself for maximum impact in research, teaching, and community engagement.

This initiative is motivated by our commitment to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and serving the needs of students and society in a rapidly changing world.
