The School of Psychology in the College of Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology announces a tenure- track professor position with an anticipated start date of August 2020. The position targets an entry-level Assistant Professor, but we will consider an outstanding candidate at the advanced Assistant or Associate Professor level as well. All candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree in Psychology or a related field at the time of employment. We seek an individual with interests in variables that promote successful cognitive aging, including health, life-style factors (e.g., exercise, social engagement, stress management, nutrition, behavioral self-regulation, and medication adherence), and genetics. The candidate should conduct empirical research on determinants of cognitive change and/or interventions to promote cognitive health. Entry-level candidates should have a potentially fundable research program. Individuals already serving in a tenure-track position should have a record of obtaining external research funding. They should also anticipate directing research and teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
