Eye Tracker Lab

Our eye-tracker allows us to study not only eye movement, but also changes in pupil size (a measure of mental effort).  Mechanically, an infrared beam of light is shone on the eye, and a special camera tracks the reflection off the cornea.  The white box just behind the red chair is the magnetic head tracker.  This allows the eye-tracking system to stay calibrated without requiring head restraint.
