Cara Bailey Fausset
Research Interests
I am working on the following projects in the HFA Lab:
- Exploring the influences of graph characteristics and task demands on graph comprehension. This research will provide empirical support for establishing graphing best practices.
- Understanding the tasks that older adults must to do manage and maintain their homes, the difficulties they face in performing those tasks, and the solutions they use to cope with these difficult tasks. This research will provide information that will enable older adults to live in their own homes for as long as possible.
- Investigating older adults and their attitudes toward technology use and their training preferences. By understanding older adults’ preferences toward technology and training methods, this research can inform designers about meeting older adults’ needs.
