  From 1-75/85 Northbound...
  • Take the 10th/14th street exit (Exit 250).
  • Turn LEFT onto 10th Street.
  • Go straight through the first stop light.
  • Turn LEFT at the second stoplight onto Fowler Street (at the Coliseum).
  • At the first stop light, turn RIGHT onto Ferst Drive (5th Street) (the baseball stadium will be on your right).
  • Continue to take Ferst Street as it loops around campus.
  • The reserved parking is immediately before the handicapped parking along the road on both sides of the street.
  • You will see white signs that say "School of Psychology" visitor parking.
  • Please park in one of these parallel spaces and place the parking pass on your dashboard so that the writing is facing up.
  • If you didn't receive a pass in the mail, a technician from our lab will be waiting near the parking spaces to give you your parking pass.

  From 1-75/85 Southbound...
  • Take the North Avenue exit (exit 294D) and turn RIGHT.
  • Go approximately 1/2 mile and turn RIGHT onto Cherry Street. (There is a Georgia Institute of Technology sign at the entrance to Cherry Street and there will be construction on your right).
  • Take a LEFT at the stop sign (the only direction you can go) and the reserved parking is immediately after the handicapped parking along the road on both sides of the street.
  • You will see white signs that say "School of Psychology" visitor parking.
  • Please park in one of these parallel spaces and place the parking pass on your dashboard so that the writing is facing up.

  From Northside Drive (traveling South)...
  • Get into the far left lane after you pass 17th Street.
  • Veer to the LEFT at Hemphill Street.
  • Take Hemphill until it ends at Ferst Drive.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Ferst Drive.
  • Take Ferst as it loops around campus.
  • Before you reach the end of Ferst Drive you will see white signs that say "School of Psychology" visitor parking.
  • Parking is located on both sides of the road.
  • Please park in one of these parallel spaces and place the parking pass on your dashboard with the writing facing up.

  MARTA Directions
  • Go to the North Avenue MARTA station (N3)
  • The Georgia Tech school bus (white and yellow with black letters--called the Stinger) runs every 15 minutes or so.
  • Stand at the corner of Techwood and North Avenue on the stadium side.
  • You will want to get onto the RED ROUTE bus.
  • Ask the bus driver to alert you when you reach the stop at Cherry Street and Ferst Drive (mention the Psychology Building or the JS Coon Building).
  • Alternatively, If you wish you can walk to our building from the N3 MARTA stop by walking toward the interstate overpass on North Avenue and continuing until you reach the Cherry Street intersection where you will turn RIGHT. Walk to the end of Cherry Street (you will see "Road Closed" signs) and turn LEFT into the JS Coon Building.

  Once You Have Arrived...
  
  

  • The Psychology Building (J S Coon building) is brick and is located directly across from the Engineering Science and Mechanics (ESM) Building. The entrance that most directly gets you to our lab is the second set of double-doors just to the right of the sign that says "J S Coon Building". The main entrance is past the "Road Closed" signs on Cherry Street. 
    
    
  • Upon entering the building you will need to go down the stairs and through the door at the bottom (this will lead to the ground floor, the yellow colored floor). Follow this hallway straight to the end. We are located in room G17. If no one is in G17, please wait and someone will be with you shortly. If you have trouble finding our lab, you may go to the main office (on the 1st floor of the building, the purple colored floor; the office is the room with all the glass windows) and inform the receptionist that you are here for a study in the Hertzog Lab: The Adult Cognition Lab (ask for directions to room G17).
    
    
  • IF YOU GET LOST: Ask for directions to TECH TOWER (you will have to walk past our building to get there.)

   

  • If you have trouble finding a spot, park along the street on either Ferst Drive or Cherry Street with your parking pass displayed.

   

  • Note: If you are arriving for a weekend session or a session after 5pm on weekdays, someone from our lab will be standing outside near the parking to await your arrival and to let you into the building as it is normally closed to the public during those hours.
