Description of Tests Like many current intelligence tests, the distinction between crystallized intelligence and fluid intelligence is fundamental to the tests administered here. Crystallized intelligence, known as gc,is applied to tasks which require specific educational experiences or knowledge, such as vocabulary, verbal comprehension and formal logic. Fluid intelligence, known as gf in the intelligence literature, is applied to tasks which requires inferring and evaluating relationships. Currently, we measure fluid intelligence by online adaptive tests. Non-verbal stimuli are used to minimize the role of specific educational experiences in the assessment of fluid ability. Several research studies show that the essence of general intelligence, sometime referred to as Spearman’s g, is fluid intelligence. |
